If you just came home to find her in heat (i.e. bleeding, and the first you'd seen of it), it's pretty unlikely that she'd even let the male breed her.
Personally I can't see it physically happening, but I suppose stranger things have happened...
I agree that if you get her spayed ASAP, it won't be an issue.
And if she's still in heat, keep her away from that boy! If nothing else, he'll torment her and possibly squash her!

Yes, they are both dogs and the same species, and a Boxer can impregnate a Chihuahua, and yes, this pregnancy would be fatal to her. You need to take her to the vet NOW and find out if she is pregnant or not so you can have it taken care of before it is too late to do anything about. If you have any written documents from the person you bought the dog from saying it was spayed, then you should have her pay for the cost of the operation of spaying your dog and removing the embryos (if there were any). Your dog would not be in danger now if it weren't for her lie.

Yes she could. Actually, puppies generally start out about the same size at birth, regardless of breed. This is why large dogs have large litters and small dogs only have one or two pups--a St Bernard's womb can hold a lot of full-term pups, while a teacup toy chihuahua can hold one. So, it probably wouldn't be as bad for your dog as it seems, as she would probably only have one or two fertilized eggs. However, I would guess there would be a high probability of problems with the pups (disabilities and the like). Take your dog to get spayed and the vet can check her for pregnancy while they are at it (and put an end to the pregnancy if you so desire).

Not trying to sound like a tough guy, but about the only time I cry is due to death. I tend to become more pissed than upset over things. I guess I'm a very stereotypical male in that regard. Did Incubus of all people really just call someone else a sociopath and a psychopath?

I've heard of Chihuahua/Boxer mixes but the Boxer was always the mama dog. So it is possible, but as you said very dangerous in your dogs case. If you suspect anything might have happened get her to the vet and see what they can tell you. Hope everything turns out ok!

It's very , very, very rare for a female dog to get pregnant on the first day of a heat cycle. so if this is for sure the first day you are likely safe. However if there is the slightest chance that you didn't relise she was in heat (after all you probably were not looking for it in a "spayed" female) you might want to have a vet look at her in a few weeks....

My dog is half daschund and half black lab..
I couldn't believe it when the people I got him from told me BUT, my vet confirmed it says thats exactly what he looks like.. lol he is comical to look at but totaly adorable..
I have since found out that this is going to be one of the new show breeds.. there are a couple generations left to go to make them official..
Anyhow yep it could happen..
Also are you positive she was in heat and not bleeding for another reason?.. I would have her vet checked.. does she have a scar from being spayed?
Where they actualy hooked up together or was he just mouting and humping? dogs get stuck together when they mate is why I asked..

Yes they can. Get your dog fixed now - in fact, you need to get her to the vet to make sure she's not already pregnant and in need of a puppy abortion.
When I was a kid, my really small mutt got pregnant by a huge German shepherd. She had six puppies in that litter, and my dad was helping her and thought everything was fine until the last pup. All of the other ones were small mutts just like their mom, but the last one was a big German shepherd pup that would have killed her had my dad not rushed her to the vet. That particular pup died at the vet's office.

Get that other dog fixed. He might try to mount just about anything in that condition, including a neutered female. This is not an appropriate behavior and he should not be allowed to do it. He should be trained to cut it out. His instinct for that would be non-existant if he was fixed at a proper age. Now, he'll do it just to be dominant, even if you get him fixed, which should be done right away.
No private owner should keep an intact dog, that's just the way it is. Get his balls cut off right away!

It's possible, but you can still have her spayed, NOW.
Spaying her will be a lot less risky that her whelping large breed puppies, as you seem to already be aware.
