Jeff is the best driver going right now. Many wins, more to come.
I don't really see him going to change himself just because he tied Dale.
He didn't take that flag as disrespect to Dale. I'm a huge Earnhardt fan, I'm also a Gordon fan. And the others are stupid if they say it was disrespectful. Jeff and Dale Sr. were GREAT... yes.. GREAT friends while Dale was alive. Dale was ALWAYS talking with Jeff and teaching him points of the track, racing in general, and life. Jeff was a class act to take that big 3 around the track as respect to the fact that he tied the man. NO OTHER RACER WOULD HAVE DONE IT!!! If another racer did it, you would have cheered and been like "omg, how amazing and classy" But no, it's Jeff Gordon and you're jealous to how he dominated the league and you favorite drivers in his early years. Wake up and smell the coffee. Jeff's a great driver.
He's won this many races his way, why chance it all and change the way you drive?
Jeff is an amazing driver and will always be one of the best drivers to ever race in NASCAR.
GO 24!!!

I believe that is a quote from a NASCAR article on Yahoo, if I'm not mistaken and that's a tough question to answer. Gordon is pretty much disliked on the track if he makes someone made but usually when bump drafting he has quite a few friends. I know that Sr. got alot of his championships and wins by pushing people around no matter who you were and just seeing how far he could push you so I don't think that Jeff is going to change his driving style as it's worked for him for 15 years so I doubt that he would change it now, since he is on an impressive role with alot of momentum, and a high chance of winning his 5th championship. On Speed, during the Inside Nextel Cup, the announcers watched an interview of Jeff saying that Sr. would always push him around on the track and they weren't the best of friends off the track but they had alot of respect for each other but only time will tell.

If Jeff Gordon hasn't become "The Bad Boy of NASCAR" by now, then he never will. There's a difference between being a Bad Boy and being disliked. Tony Stewart is a "Bad Boy" but fans love him.
I think Jeff will pretty much be the same racer as he's always been. Besides, JPM will take over the Bad Boy role for everyone, lol.

You wouldn't consider Tony Stewart the new "bad boy"?
Let me share a joke about Jeff Gordon, he is so easy to pick on :-)
Jeff Gordons marriage to Miss Winston turned out cancerous, cost 15 million to cure disease. Details at 11...
Okay, just 1 more:
Real reason Brooke wanted a divorce from Jeff Gordon was because she found out he was banging his car more than her.
Jeff Gordon is okay, Bad boy he will not be. Wonderboy is his title.. You 'wonder' when that 'boy" is gonna break someone elses record..

You must have read the yahoo article I just did (I put the link below). To answer your question, no. Jeff Gordon couldn't become the "bad boy" of NASCAR if he wanted to. You cannot confront Matt Kenseth with your helmet on and carry the street credibility you need to be considered a bad boy. As he gets older he may have less patience and move people out of the way here and there but not to anywhere near the extent that Dale Sr did. A zebra cannot change it's stripes and a rainbow warrior cannot become an intimidator all of a sudden. Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo are the 2 people that come to mind when I hear bad boy in NASCAR.

First of all no, Jeff Gordon is one of the cleanest drivers on the cup series. They boo him because he had success so early in his career and he was one of Earnhardt's biggest rivals. There is no way, NASCAR has a few bad boy's, i.e. Stewart, The Busch brothers, Robby Gordon and JP Montoya isn't too far away. Gordon is one of the greatest drivers ever and people need to start admitting it!!!

Closer a driver comes to retirement(not saying he is) the more aggressive they get.The younger drivers are coming in and are full of challenge and they want to prove themselves by taking on the older drivers. When this happens older drivers get more aggressive and seem to become the badboys when in reality it is survival.

No, Gordon is just as Little E said after the race. A Class Act. Anyway, at his age, and with his record, he doesn't need to become a bad boy.

If you don't believe me read this column below. All Earnhardt and Earnhardt Jr. fans are ******* to other fans of nascar. They only care strictly about the name Earnhardt. Jeff Gordon and Dale Sr. were like the best of friends off the race track and drove competitively on the track. As Gordon is getting older he will become more aggressive on the track. Even though all you idiots above answered wrong it proved that Gordon can become a bad boy... because some fans love him and others absolutely hate him. He is the most booed at the events and he loves it. He can get under your skin any time he wants to. Did yall not even watch the race at Phoenix when he won? He got a #3 flag and carried it around the track and Earnhardt Jr. was the first to congratulate him as he got to winners circle.. Just Read the Article and Get it through your Head... You are all brainwashed.

If they put him in a black car and black uniform like Earnhardt when he moved over to the dark side........
Gotta wonder, like wrestling, how much of that was Dale's aggressive style and how much the sponsors urged him on to be Mr. Evil????
