I would not put them in bunk beds yet. Although they do have the rails for the top bunk. They are really too young to be climbing up and down the ladder. You could try having the two girls sleep in the same bed if there isn't enough room. Or did as my parents did and give them the larger room to share until they are old enough to be in bunk beds. I was five when I was first put in a bunk bed. A three year old really doesn't have the motor skills to be climbing up and down a ladder without falling. Especially in the middle of the night when they are groggy and need to use the bathroom or get a drink of water. Wait a bit longer dear if you don't want any accidents to befall your young children.
I indluded a link below on bunk bed facts. It says there that you should not permit children younger than 6 to sleep on the top bunk

3 is a little young, but im sure if you had a chat with her and explained the "rules" : no getting out of bed by herself etc. it could and should be safe. we are talking bunk beds with the fence around them yeah?
alternatively, there are bunk beds that have a double mattress at the bottom. if you felt a little insecure, you could make them sleep together at the bottom until you are comfortable your daughter wont jump off without your assistance.
p.s. i use to sleep in a bunk with my sister. mum pushed the bunk up against a wall, and the other side had a fence so we couldnt fall. - just all depends on how hyper your daughter is

How tall is the bunk beds?
I have never seen one but I heard that they make a lower version for smaller children.
I had bunk beds with my sister I was 6 and she was 3.
I never rolled out but I did fall a few times climbing in and out. I never broke anything but I did have some nasty bruses.
To me that seems a little young, but you need to make the decision if they are ready or not.
Best of luck!

Yes definately too young for bunk beds. Just put them in their own twin beds. Gosh I'd want 5 bedrooms if I had 2 kids. Toys take up lots of space.

my sisters kids have slept in bunk beds since they were that age and they did and do very well you will just want to make sure that the upper bunk has a rail so that they don't fall out of bed

I'm not sure....I think the top bunk might be too high for either of them. I'd be more concerned about them falling. You might consider a trundle bed instead of a bunk.

my son's have been sleeping in bunk beds since they were 3 and 5. but before i bought the beds i had them put a rail on the top one so that he wouldn't roll out. usually the store will put one on as long as you ask them, just make sure the rail goes all the way across not just half way.

Any child under eight is too young for bunk beds! What if your child falls and sustains head or hip injuries or displacement. You don't want a child with hip displacia...it's a lot of therapy and doctor's visits not to mention bowleggedness.

I just moved my two year old into a twin mattress with no box spring on the floor with the guard and she still falls out of bed!!! I guess it depends on the child. You could get guards that go all around the bed if you are worried! But I know I would feel awful if something happned and one of my girls fell out of bed and hurt themselves.
