just don't do it... unless you have to...

Some states and local governments are imposing laws on cell phone use while driving.... and also some will cite you for an accident if they know/find out you were on the phone at the time of the wreck....

don't use your cell while driving.... it's unsafe because it is another source to grab your attention and you can't react to an emergency as quickly or as well...

if you MUST cell phone - then buy a headset or ear piece... or one of those "star trek" borg BlueTooth earpieces...

I personally don't think laws are the answer and once you start down that slippery slope, who knows what they'll "outlaw" next.

I think education and awareness is the answer. People need to "train" themselves to not let distractions, of any type, pull their attention away from the roads. Many suggest not talking on the cell phone, and for those who struggle with distractions, that may be good advice. However, cell phones are just one of many distractions drives will face and have to deal with. Kids in the car, adjusting a GPS unit, talking on a dispatch radio are all distractions. That doesn't mean we need laws prohibiting them, we just need to learn to put the road first when the wheels are turning.

talking on the phone is called Miltie tasking, and should be done.if you're gonna talk on a cell phone, pull over somewhere, and stop.then talk and then drive.driving is a full time job and should never be interrupted while trying to talk, and solving problems and answering questions on the phone and driving at the same time...too many problems can happen.

Just don't do it! Yakking on a cell phone while driving is equivalent to driving with 1.5x the legal limit of alcohol based upon accident statistics.
