In the USA, the section where you posted your question, wax paper is available in almost any grocery store. A roll usually sells for under $3.00 (US).

Any store that sells aluminum foil or plastic cling wrap will usually have waxed paper. Parchment paper will probably be next to it.

its called cake pan liner paper or grease paper and you can buy it in stationery shops
