An ancient book/text that is NOT the Bible, Koran, Torah or other religious text. You see, I am unaware on anything that is not related to Relgious text that has had this much influence, including the laws and the bill of rights, constitution, that have all been inspires by the influence of Christian text. I believe it's very influence points to a mysterious truth, but not the obvious one that Christian's think.

I don't know how truth and popularity are related, but I doubt they are close...

The answer un doubly, is the Bible! It is with physical evidence, A book that has ideas that when translated has led people to lay down their lives for others. An ancient book/text, and it's very influence points to a mysterious truth.

Hence, Jesus could pray respecting his followers: “Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.” (Joh 17:17;

Due to believing that “all Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching,” we would expect God’s message to all mankind to be available around the globe. The Bible, the whole or in part, has been translated into some 1,800 languages. Its circulation totals in the billions.

Says The World Book Encyclopedia: “The Bible is the most widely read book in history. It is probably also the most influential. More copies have been distributed of the Bible than of any other book. It has also been translated more times into more languages than any other book.”—(1984), Vol. 2, p. 219.

I’ve heard others say that, even though they have not made a thorough study of the Bible. But since the Bible clearly says that it is a message from God himself and that he offers us eternal life if we believe and live by what it says, don’t you agree that it would be worthwhile at least to examine it to find out whether its claims are true or not?

“This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”— John 17:3.

i think that there are not yet examples of non religious text given the posterity limitations on non secular humanistic text of massive influence.
i think the truth that the symmetrical nature of these religious books is that they were all derived from different tallings of the same fundamental story, they all come from the same place, and they all seek to answer the same questions. questions of human creation, existence, after life, all matters of the spirit and soul, discussed in like metaphor.
we need "parables" because the notions of truth are too complicated for most of us, religious text provides truth in allegory, simple and engaging, easy to want to believe.
