I was homeschooled also. Try facebook.com or when you go to your homeschool try to mingle witht the other students. That is how i made some friends. You can also play a sport for a local highschool if it is aloud. If you are over 18 you can go to certain clubs that are near colleges or whichever and meet people there

Depending on your age, you can take classes at a local junior, or community college, or go to work part time.
There are church youth groups, community volunteer work opportunities, 4H, Toastmasters (speech, and debate), and so on.
Meeting new people depends on what kind of friendships you are looking for, remember friends come, and go.
My dad always told us, if a person can count his/her true friends on one hand, and still has fingers left, you are a very blessed person.
It is not the amount of "friends", or new people you get the privilege to meet, or get to know that matters most, but the the quality of the friendships you will be blessed with when you meet them.
Good luck.

Do you have a local homeschool group? I'm sure you can find other HS'ed kids. See if there are any Yahoo or Google groups for HS'ers near you. All the ones I'm involved in have meet-up times.
I like the suggestion of volunteering, also.
What about 4H or scouting? Church youth groups? Local sports teams? The YMCA?

Join a homeschool group and attend group activities, find some kind of extra curricular activity such as sports.. volunteering is a good idea as well and possibly Girl Scouts or 4H. Also if you are a member of a Church their activities are a good source of meeting people.. stay away from online sources. TMO.

Volunteer work...you will meet people who have the same interests as you, plus it will look good on your college admissions applications.
