i went out on a blind date with someone i met online, we talked for a few weeks he sounded like a good guy. when we met up he had a hicky on his neck. he didn't offer to buy me a drink or anything. he was rude and unkept. i tried to stick out the date just to be nice, he got a call from his dad that he need help to move. if it was a way to end the date i was so releaved for it to be over. when he got out of my car he said call me. all i could think of was why. i knew we weren't right from the second we met but i wanted to be nice and i don't know why. what do you think??

It wasn't really a "blind" date if you'd met him online and been chatting for weeks...next, you're NUTS for having him in your car. Even if you had been chatting and felt he was a 'good guy' one of the cardinal rules of internet dating is you do not allow them to pick you up or drop you off at your home (or vice versa) and you do not share the same vehicle (on a first date). That was dangerous.

Overall, he sounds like a poor dating prospect....but he's just one guy. You can't have good without bad. Chalk it up to one of the lesser fun dating experiences you've had, and move on. There'll be plenty of others that will be much better.

You did the right thing, you stuck it out and made the best of it. Thats the worse part of the dating scene and that gets worse the older you get. Move on now and see what the next person has to offer. You have to at least try. Ironically, I met my wife on line and we were 1200 miles away. The first time we met I was sitting in the parking lot of the restaurant waiting for her to pull in. She did, and looked completely different from the photo she had sent and I was horrified. I almost bailed right then and there. But I could not do that to her and went into the restaurant and the rest was history. She was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Next time you go on a first date have your own escape call ready. Have someone call you about 30 mins into the date so if the date isn't going well you can easily make an excuse to end the date.

I'am sorry your dating exp. wasnt has you hoped. but to specifiy that this gender or this one is worse then the other is wrong. My girlfriend also i met online, we enjoy every moment with each other. my suggestion, is instead of letting your labedo run uncheck, jump start your mind and heart see beyond what they say, relationships are not 100% sex, if they were, what would happen when you are aged? maybe life has more meaning then you think, and also give your self a chance, if you find your self going dateing with the same type of men, change something about yourself that attarcts a different type of man. get toknow them, you know who they are! amazing how small talk leads to communacation! . good luck , an god bless

Blind dates are always tough. Don't let one -or 101- bad experiences spoil the joy of dating. The right one will come along, and this bad experience will become yet another tale you tell and laugh about during girls night out.

Nothing wrong with being polite with someone, even if you know you never want to go on another date with him. Don't give up hope, you're bound to find a better guy soon.

think its time you start searching for a man outside of your computer.
Usually those kind of men give false hope.
You would be better off going to a place of interest to sought after a companion or just let that special person find you.
If you aren't physically attractive hone the other skills you would need to get the kind of attention you are looking for (i.e. hone your communication skills)
Good luck because good men are hard to find!

The very second I saw that hickey, that date would not of happened and he doesn't need to be asking me for rides in my car because my car wouldn't of been going in his direction.
