If it is your first you should be in decent shape. In most states what you got was a reckless driving, not a straight speeding ticket. Your speed is to high to explain that you were passing or keeping up with the flow of traffic.
Whatever tips or tricks you get won't be useful. The cops know every in and out of people trying to fight a ticket because of laser radar. Yes you could get a lawyer and he could speak with the prosecuter. He could nitter natter about all sorts of details but it will cost you money. All for something you can do yourself.
Save yourself the time, money or effort. It's your first. Go to court (speaking properly and clean cut is a major key) and tell the judge that you are sorry. You were not payiing attention and did not realize how fast you were going. If you are young enough take your Dad or something. You learned your lesson, etc. etc. Or you spoke to your Dad on the phone and he explained how much this could cost you in insurance for years. There's more but you get the idea.
Odds are the judge will reduce it to a regular speeding ticket which will be far cheaper and would not include even the threat of jail time. Either way it is not the end of the world and trying to fight it will almost guarantee the worst outcome. Mention "radar" and you will get the worst.
Take your lumps and be nice. That is the only way this will work out the best. But remember....... in any case if you get busted again you will not be able to play the "this is my first" card. ever.

If you were going 83 in a 65 zone, pay the fine...find out how to take the driving course so points are not added to your record. Points will increase your car insurance premium. Quit speeding unless you enjoy paying speeding fines.

Pay the ticket and slow down next time.
Laser radar is very accurate, as you can point it at one car in particular in a group of several cars. "Regular" radar is a beam that expands in size as it gets further away from the radar gun, making it difficult to pinpoint one vehicle.

Pay the fine and the new insurance rate you'll be receiving and then slow down. There's no reason to drive 80 mph anywhere anytime on the public roads.

Be sure to show up for your court date, pay your fine, and learn your lesson about speeding. By the way, you should also have a little consideration for those who would like to be safe on the road!

Find someone to fix or reduce it, or if it is your first you can go talk to the DA and they may reduce the amount. Other then that call the courthouse and get how much the fine is and pay before the court date or go to court. Good luck

Take your foot off the gas pedal. Also, there is this new fangle device that most cars are equipped with. It's called cruise control. Familiarize your self with it's abilities. May safe you some grief in the future.

If it is your first one and you have your own insurance policy, meaning no one els eon the policy has used "prayer for judgment" in teh past 3 years then you can try to go that route.
Sometimes if you go to court, they will reduce it, but they may not have any sympathy for 80+mph! That's pretty reckless!

No, you haven't any case, no longer to indicate a good case. You did no longer say something that would advise you weren't to blame of dashing. as properly, in case you bypass to courtroom, you will possibly be able to get ticketed for the different violations that the officer missed.
