A couple of years ago my dad was diagnosed with cancer. Since then he has had it another time. Now I find out that he is being tested for it the third time sometime next week. My questions is, is everytime you get cancer does it get worse? and does it have a better chance of killing the paitent? I'm just really worried about my dad and this is all I can think about right now. Anawers would be greatly appreciated.

Ok well it depends on what you mean by each time. Is this 3 seperate primarys or a single primary that has spread? The prognosis of a cancer is based on its staging. The staging takles into account the original cancer and then the spread, i can not give you any answers on this question without any staging details i'm afarid. It would be totally wrong to do so as cancer is not black and white. Noone can give you a reliable answer to this question with the details you have given so do not listen to them. Find out his staging and the go to an appropriate website such as the one i have put below. Best of luck with everything

One it depends on what time of cancer
If its reoccuring that is not a good sign and it will just keep his system from getting stronger. The best person for you to talk about this with is your dad.

Is it the same cancer recurring? Usually if it's recurring cancer, it's not a good thing. It means the cancer cell is very aggresive. Good luck to you and your dad.
