A cool website I found is WWW.ZILLOW.COM depending on how new the house is they normally will have the last paid property tax amount and they have a lot of cool stuff like how much houses have sold around there how much the exact house has sold for in the past its worth checkin out I found it in FORTUNE so it fairly legit. Other wise you can go down to the property tax office for the county and its public record. And if you just want a conservitive number you can just take the sale price you are looking at and multiply it by the property tax percentage for that county it will be less but it till give you an Idea.

You'll probably have to contact the tax collector's office directly. If you're looking to buy a property that is for sale, just ask the current owner what their tax bill is. That's a reasonable question and they should tell you and be able to provide proof of the amount paid fairly easily.

Do keep in mind that it's common practice to re-value a property when it sells so their assessed value and tax bill may not bear any resemblance to what yours may be if you buy the property. The tax collector's office can give you information on how assessment and revaluation upon sale are handled locally and provide the figures that you can use to estimate your probable tax bill.

The county assessor's office will have the information, but you might have to go there in person. Some counties have the info online, some don't.

Try calling your local auditor's office. They can look the property up by address and give you the URL "if" they have the information cataloged online.
