I am losing the enamel in my front tooth. Is there any tooth paste to restore that. I do grind my teeth at night so I do wear a mouth guard just not all the time. Is this the cause of it?

I was given a 'special' toothpaste from my dentist. It's a prescription form of PreviDent and it was $10. The tube says 'SF 5000 Plus' and it's made by Cypress Pharmaceutical, Inc. I think they may have over the counter versions as well made by Colgate or something. I'm supposed to use it at night and NOT rinse my mouth out or drink anything for 30 minutes. The dentist claimed it was supposed to help with my enamel loss since I have very weak teeth. It's suppose to strengthen them but I haven't noticed any difference yet. As far as I know, my enamel loss is partially genetic and partially from years of drinking Pepsi. It's not going to magically restore the areas of my teeth that have worn/chipped away from grinding them but it should help with the fact that my teeth are looking a bit transparent in areas. Once the area gets transparent or turns a brilliant white color, that means it's a weak area that will probably break off or wear down soon.
