You are not the only one. I HATE buttermilk. My grandfather lived off of the stuff. Only person I ever met that could drink that stuff by the gallon.

I could never drink it straight. It only goes in biscuits and dressings. My husband however, can down a whole QUART in one sitting straight from the container! But it has to be Bulgarian brand. Weeeeeeird. I think that's gross.

100% agree with you! It is nasty, my grandpa for some reason loves the stuff though. But if you think about it you use it in alot of stuff like biscuits and mash potatoes sometimes.

I wouldn't dream of drinking the stuff, but you can't beat the flavor it adds to biscuits (American biscuits-not cookies), cakes and pancakes/waffles.

It also makes great steak fingers and fried chicken.

You're not supposed to drink it, you're supposed to cook with it. It definitely tastes bad by itself, but some people really like it

I have never had a reason to drink it.
I have tasted it at the food fairs, but still no reason. It is so bitter. but it's fine in food.
