First, it is called the Book of Mormon. According to LDS doctrine, Mormon was a prophet on the American continent around 400 A.E.. He compiled the record of previous prophets into a book similar in theory to the Bible as it was a collection of religious writings. He supposedly also compiled a historical record in another book which has yet to be given to man.

As to your reference to the Bible, the admonition not to add to these writings is found in both Deuteronomy and Revelations. Neither being the last book written, we must assume the author referred to their own book specifically and not the Bible as a whole as that didn't come into existence until the Convention at Nicaean where scholars compiled the earliest form of the Bible from which the Bible we know today descends.

For disclosure I am a former Mormon Elder turned Atheist. I do not believe these to be actual events, I am only quoting Mormon doctrine regarding the origins. I won't be slinging mud at them as I believe other posters have covered that base for me.

What? Say that again? Wasn't the Book of Mormons written in the U.S. in the 1800's or something like that? When were Jesus' 12 disciples in the U.S.? When were they in the 1800's? I thought they died sometime after Jesus. Can you expect us to believe that Mormons can add to the Bible 1800 years later? What about Central America? Did you omit Central America because YOU probably believe there was no Central America before Christopher Columbus found it? Am "I" right?

Of course there was a North and South America before Columbus discovered it. There are, however, no archeological findings that support the claims made by the Book of Mormon.

Do you really think people are stupid enough to believe that there was nobody in the Americas before Columbus came?
The Book of Mormo does attempt to add to the Bible and the Bible clearly states not to do this. So your book is false teaching from the start.
You obviously have not gotten far enough into your "religion" (occult) to see the lies and atrocities involved in your upper echelon. Get out now while you still can and save your very life.

pernounced isn't how you spell that word. It's 'prenounced'. What makes people that are non-Mormons 'anti-Mormons'? You're all over the place and worried about nothing.

Say that again, but in English this time.

Owner of a Lonely Heart - Yes

Move yourself
You always live your life
Never thinking of the future
Prove yourself
You are the move you make
Take your chances win or loser

There is nothing correct about your spelling and grammar. How can I possibly believe the rest?

Last I checked "Bible" was spelled "B-i-b-l-e" and pronounced "Bye-bull". Book of Mormon is spelled "B-o-o-k o-f M-o-r-m-o-n" and pronounced, "Buk uv more-mun". They aren't spelled or pronounced anything like each other.

Seriously, though, I don't understand your question at all.

Huh? I don't understand your question. I don't like Mromonism because I think Joseph Smith was a manipulative con-man, probably somewhat deranged, who started a religion for the sole purpose of polygamy. He was David Koresh only nuttier.
