Islam and all the innocent Muslims around the world are not to blame for the mindless actions of a few individuals.

Why are we still having to apologise??

When will someone apologise for the thousand upon thousand innocent lives (and not just Muslim lives, but the lives of the soldiers also) lost in Iraq and Afghanistan??

Do you really call this justice??

Many people are just ignorant and prejudiced.

Concentration camps for Muslims?
Doesn't anybody see a pattern of hate in this country?
Remember the Japanese being targeted? The innocent Japanese?

Look at the comment about going back to the desert. Too bad that he doesn't even know that not all Muslims live in the desert or come from the desert. Only 10% are Arabs.

Many Americans always hate somebody and they always push their hate on innocents who never did anything wrong to them.

Instead of hating the people who are doing something wrong, they hate people like us. The innocents.

I know that there are non-bigoted, non-prejudiced folks out there, but seeing people and their hateful comments on yahoo answers makes me think they are the majority.

And that makes me very sad.

I think muslims have done enough, more than what they should do .......muslims were not responsible for 9/11 and that is very well known fact now and even many of the Americans don't believe in that story.....but suppose even some so called muslims have carried this, Why should i apologise for those idiots??I would definitely try to clear those misconception which this type of propagada has brought to my religion, but i would condemn them while standing side by side non-muslims...why should i apology for other's crime which brought such a big disaster.this is unforgiable sin and Even our Allah won't forgive them...so no question of apology and if someone expect us to do so, sorry i decline !! Find out the "right" culprite and don't run for lame excuse , this is my advise to those who think all muslims should bow down to ask the apology for what they are not respnsible for !! this would be the Right justice !

Yes, if you did not cause the atrocities then don't apologize for it. The reason you say that you are still apologizing for 911 is because of the pressure of american people. Since those who did it are dead or in prison there is no one that can look at to take their frustration out on. Some people feel like the bombers got of easy by blowing themselves up with out having a trial and being able to face the families of those who died. I do not judge you. But you are facing a psychologicl issue with some american people. However, you will have to walk in your innocence and maintain it, before people. Now that the incident has happened at Virginia Tech, I already hear people say things about Koreans. So, it not just muslims. Anybody who does anything atrocious now will not be looked at individually but as a whole. But being judge as a group is not new for black americans and some white americans.

The reason is prejudice. Sects like the Taliban and extremists are all associated with the real religion called Islam. So hence, if you are muslim, you are an extremist who believes women are men's slaves and etc. (I know this isn't true, I'm setting an example). As for one person's comment about the Holocaust, if your father killed a person, are you responsible for his actions? Do YOU go to jail because your father killed someone? No. No one is responsible for other people's actions but their own. You can't blame people for something that happened more than 50 years ago.

This is how the world is. Politics are really simple, but politicians make them complex. People are generalized because they belong to a religion, a gender, a race, or any group. It's obvious no one is going to apologize for the tragedies. Bush will shoot himself before admitting he's wrong for passing the PATRIOT Act and wrongfully sending muslims to prison. Sadly, that is the justice doled out for people trying to lead peaceful lives and made responsible for other people's actions. It is unfair.

Unfortunately, it is called "stereotyping". It has continued throughout history. The white man is still in a position to apologize for slavery whether their family ever owned slaves or not. A black man, no matter how well-educated, must prove himself because of the actions of other blacks. Muslims must apologize for the actions of the few that have terrorized the world.

Instead of spending your time apologizing, why not try investing your effort into educating others about your beliefs. Ignorance is the reason you still have to apologize. People lock themselves into one belief because that's what their daddy told them and they never bother to seek the truth.

I am sure you are guilty of the same practice. If I tell you someone is from Arkansas, what do you picture? A barefoot man in overalls running home to make love to his sister... We somehow forget that our last President came from there (regardless of how well he did/did not do).

We are all labeled by the stereotyping of our culture, and we can do one of two things. Educate the world or live with it. The choice is yours.

Because people tend to group individuals as "us" or "them." Many non-Muslims are afraid and this fear comes from lack of knowledge of Islam (which does not allow for innocent blood to be spilled).

I do not apologize for 9/11 or for any other terrorist attack.
Why? Because I did not do it.

You should not apologize either.
Why? (See above answer)

I will continue to try to educate the ignorant.
I will continue to be friends with friendly people.

I will continue telling people that I (and all REAL Muslims) condemn terrorism in all its forms.

But apologize?
Never did it. Never will.

I think it's not fair but it's reality. The Jews are still being blamed by some people for the death of Jesus. The Germans are still being blamed for the death of millions of Jews. The whites in America are still being blamed for the slavery of black Africans. Etc. Things that a race or culture or religion has done in the past are never forgotten and it seems to still be held onto for generations to come. May not be fair but it's the way it's been for many in many situations.

I like what China said. If you're not to blame, don't apologize. I got nothing against any Muslim (or any other religion) who comes to America peacefully. If you feel like you're being ostracized b/c of you're race/religion try making friends and letting people know you don't mean any harm. I've got some friends that are from Saudi Arabia who are Muslim and they seem to be doing alright for themselves.

Probably same reason as; Why do innocent 'Christians' have to apologize for the mindless actions of a few (Christian) individuals?
