or would you try with all your might to find some logic in this miracle?

It's human nature to try to organize and categorize the world around us, to find patterns in noise, or impose order on chaos. The only thing that differs is the "lens" one uses in doing so.

I typically use a scientific/logic lens, but am open to other models of understanding the world around me. The main issue however with religious explanations for unusual phenomenon is the lack of critical review and cross-checking that exists.

Or, if you prefer an analogy - if you you only have religious hammer in your toolbox, then every unexplained problem you encounter looks like a religious nail.

what is a true miracle? someone growing a second head? snowing in June? what miracle? and why, because of it, would I stop being an atheist?

every miracle (or what you call a miracle) has a very simple and logical explanation

An atheist will always try to find a "logical" explanation for things they can't explain, and any explanation will do,no matter how ridiculous,as long as God isn't involved in any way in that explanation. But they still have yet to give me a "logical" explanation as to how my daughter's Cystic Fibrosis just suddenly disappeared if it weren't a miracle from God.

You mean like (1) if I were blown to pieces and my body reconstituted itself and I came back to life? Yeah, I'd probably believe then.

If you mean like (2) "I had something good happen to me" (got a job, cancer went into remission, etc.), no, I'd find the logic in it.

Take a look at what believers claim are the true miracles. You'll find that any that can be verified are like (2), not (1). See if you can figure out why. The nonbelievers already know.

You ask a question from the position of assuming 'true miracles' exist. That is not an option for a non believer in miracles therefore your question has no merit.

Even the various churches put "miracles" through rigorous scientific testing before certifying them.

Define what you consider to be a "miracle". . . .

I would probably find some logic in it. (not *try* to just would)

Since miracles do not exist the question is based on a false premise.
