they're paying attention, they are making it happen--nobody wants the truth, do you want me to lie to you now?

Why bring God into this discussion anyway?
The reason why we have so much violence, war, hatred is b/c of one thing. Our own decisions. People out there make too many bad decisions based on greed, selfishness and lack of any concern for anyone else. We for the most part live in a very ego centric world. Although, I love life I can understand getting frustrated..but instead of complaining about it people should get out and do the little things they can to help themselves and others.
Now if you want to make it a religious debate it is another easy answer. Reason why there are so many problems is b/c God gave people "Free will" by doing that we make our own decisions and unfortunately many people make the wrong ones. Comes back to the same answer but just a different viewpoint.

God is a mystery, but He is perfect. Compared to man, theoretically, even if God had imperfections, these would be far greater than man's greatest attributes.
There is war, violence and hatred because of the evil that humans allow to rule over them. In science, they say that "darkness" is the absence of "light". In the same way, "evil" is the absence of "good." God gave us a choice--i.e., He gave us free will to choose between good and evil.
These days, it seems that a LOT of people choose to do evil rather than good. What's even more unfortunate is that a lot of people don't know the line between good and evil anymore, (Ever heard of a 'white lie?') just because everyone else is doing the same thing.
This is why we, as human beings, should promote the good, and spread LOVE instead of hate, peace instead of violence.
It is good that you asked this question, because it means that you care about our world. Set a good example starting with the people around you, among your friends, family and neighborhood, and see what happens!

I follow the war in Iraq and the killings there and in Afghanistan, Israel, Palistan. This has all been started by people. What does this have to do with God? How does this war or any war prove that God isn't perfect? You made a huge statement but didn't back it up with anything. Crap happens because of humans. Because people are greedy, full of pride, are jealous, want more land, want more money, want more control, etc. I don't see where God play a role in any of our drama.

Lot of people are paying attention to war and violence - particularly the ones being threatened and killed. However as long as man has been around, we have had differing opinions on what's right and what's wrong. God has no control over what humans do to each other. Our will is stronger than God's will. It's a shame, but that's the way it is.

War, violence and hatred has always been in the world. Check out a world history book. The past has been much worse than it is today. They only reason we in our generation think so much of war, violence and hatred is because the media makes so much of it. God doesn't cause these things. Don't understand your point.

Actually, there are lots of people who do care about what is happening now, war, violence and hatred. These three things exist not because God is imperfect, instead its because us humans are imperfect. God gave us a free mind, a free body and a free soul in which we ourselves are in power of our thoughts, actions and influences. Everything is in a balance, when there is good, there is evil. Don't blame it on God, blame it on those who think not for others but himself. Blame those who neglect love, hope and moral. God gave you a reason to live, that reason, is to live, freely.
Only one thing remains unanswered and only you yourself can answer it......which side are YOU in?
Appreciate what God has given you and if you think things are not right, for you or for anyone, change it. WE are in power.

God gave men the ability to make their own choices about how to treat each other. It is the fault of men not God.
All wars, violence, and hatred are man made. If men use God's name to do these deeds, that is their choice not the choice of God. Men do not speak for God. Only a fool would think that.

He wants mankind to know that sin produces horrible consequences and that, ever since the Garden of Eden, we have brought much grief on ourselves by rejecting His instructions. Although swayed by the corrupt and evil influence of Satan, human beings must take full responsibility for the consequences of their actions. The world could have been a place of peace, security and happiness if only man had chosen to follow God's ways rather than Satan's
God is determined that we learn that lesson, painful though it may be. The Bible records that on many occasions He attempted to dissuade people from continuing in their evil ways. But the overwhelming majority have repeatedly rejected His commands, just as Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.
The good news is that God has not given up on mankind. Just as He allowed Adam and Eve the freedom to choose, so He lets the nations and the nations' inhabitants go their own way. He allows the world to suffer to teach us we cannot find lasting peace, security and contentment without Him.
Christ prophesied that the nations, not surprisingly, will fail in their efforts to peacefully cooperate. He warned that warfare will not cease, but will increase (Matthew 24:6-8).
Suffering will not disappear; it will only intensify (verse 21-22).
God is allowing people to attempt to rule themselves even as they fumble in spiritual darkness. But because they have cast His commandments aside they cannot succeed. God will bring all people to realize they cannot achieve world peace and bring an end to misery and suffering without His intervention.
As the living and just God, our Creator will not allow an evil and unjust world to continue indefinitely. He will not allow us to annihilate ourselves. He will send Jesus to earth, this time to rule as King of Kings (Revelation 19:16). The Messiah will intervene at the hour of man's gravest crisis (Daniel 12:1).
In effect, God must tear everything down and start over. Once the worldwide destruction described in Revelation 6-19 and other biblical prophecies has run its course, Christ will intervene to establish a kingdom of righteousness and begin to rectify the injustice and unfairness in the world.
I know you didn't want all this but it's just part of my witness.
God Bless You.

God is perfect; It is us who are not. Never slander your Creator. He loves you so much.
James 1: 12 - 15
Happy is the man that keeps on enduring trial, because on becoming approved he will receive the crown of life, which Jehovah promised to those who continue loving him.
When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.
But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.
2 Peter 3: 8 - 10
"However, let this one fact not be escaping YOUR notice, beloved ones, that one day is with Jehovah as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. Jehovah is not slow respecting his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with YOU because he does not desire any to be destroyed but desires all to attain to repentance. Yet Jehovah’s day will come as a thief..."
We are paying attention and by the way things look Armageddon is not far off...things are very bad in the world, but stop blaming God. Could it be Satan, but mostly the rebellion and badness of mankind? Yes, I think so....don't blame God...with bad things he cannot be tried.

All humanity is now involved in a great controversy between Christ and Satan regarding the character of God, His law, and His sovereignty over the universe. This conflict originated in heaven when a created being, endowed with freedom of choice, in self-exaltation became Satan, God's adversary, and led into rebellion a portion of the angels. He introduced the spirit of rebellion into this world when he led Adam and Eve into sin. This human sin resulted in the distortion of the image of God in humanity, the disordering of the created world, and its eventual devastation at the time of the worldwide flood. Observed by the whole creation, this world became the arena of the universal conflict, out of which the God of love will ultimately be vindicated. To assist His people in this controversy, Christ sends the Holy Spirit and the loyal angels to guide, protect, and sustain them in the way of salvation. (Rev. 12:4-9; Isa. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-18; Gen. 3; Rom. 1:19-32; 5:12-21; 8:19-22; Gen. 6-8; 2 Peter 3:6; 1 Cor. 4:9; Heb. 1:14.)
