My pinky toenail on my right foot has been quite darkened. It was not like this a year ago. Will it grow back to its natural form? What could be its cause? and how can I treat it? Please help me. I am hoping for your helpful answers.

Thankz in advance and hav a nice day.^_^

I just received an email from my brother (older). It had a lot of home remedies that are very useful. I copied and pasted this for you:
Listerine therapy for toenail fungus. Get rid of unsightly toenail fungus by soaking your toes in Listerine mouthwash. The powerful antiseptic leaves your toenails looking healthy again.
I guess it's worth a try, right? I don't know how long it will take to work, but it surely can't hurt to try. It might even save you some money.

Other than fungal growth, poor circulation, trauma, and some other health problems can cause a darkening under the toenail. If you don't want medical help for it, pick a nice light nail polish and cover it up until it falls off or spreads.

It could be a fungus that lives under your nail bed.A doctor should take a look at it and treat it.I know that there is a pill that you have to take if its fungus related and the treat treatment may be 3 months and 1 year until you see a complete new full nail grown back in.Good Luck

I would see a Dermatologist before doing anything. It could save a lot of time and fuss because they're trained to "get to it."
