find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
dont try to lose more than 1-2lbs a week - its not healthy to lose more.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried - no junk food.

Most likely, yes.
Weight loss is pretty simple, actually. All the food you eat (total calories) minus how much energy you expend. If that number is positive, you will gain wait. Negative, you will lose weight. Zero, and your weight will remain constant.
The only healthy way to lose weight is with proper diet and exercise. Fad diets and such are at best only short-term solutions. Also, starving yourself will make you lose weight, but you will not be healthy (think about POWs in a prison camp: sure, they're thin, but they don't look healthy).
Eat sparing amounts of lean meat, and base your diet around fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Avoid unnecessary fats and sugars. Start small by making simple substitutions: replace junk food with vegetables or yogurt; replace soda with water, tea or skim milk.
And walking is great exercise! It's safe, easy and doesn't require an expensive gym membership. After you've been walking regularly for a while, you might find you want to try running or swimming or lifting weights or any number of great, fun, healthy exercises. But the human body really was designed to walk!
Good luck and have fun. In addition to losing weight, you'll find that these lifestyle changes will make you feel and sleep better.

Yes, you probably would, but you probably would gain it all back and more. You see your body requires a balanced diet. You need carbs for energy, protein is the building block of life, water is important and you do require at least 20-25% of fats in your diet. Your plan for exercise is a good one, but if you start slow, about 10 minutes for the first week then add on minutes every week in 10 minute increments it will work better for you.
Losing weight and keeping it off is definitely a better target to strive for rather than to just lose it to gain it all back. You also need a strong motivating factor to be successful.
Remember to be successful you must change your lifestyle and that takes time. Groups are good to join, or have a partner to help keep you motivated. A journal helps too.
Good Luck!

Yes, you will, but VERY SLOWLY. If you wanna lose weight fast, here's a good thing to try.
Before you eat a meal or anything, eat a HUGE salad. I mean HUGE. After you're done eating the ENTIRE salad, eat anything else you want to eat. Continue this for 2-3 weeks, and you'll lose some weight. You'll see. I know a guy who did this and he lost 40 POUNDS. OMG. You should also run a mile if that helps.

You need carbs, just good ones, like whole grains and fiber.
Eat fruits, veggies, whole grains, and lose a bunch of the sugar and saturated fats.
The key is to get your needed vitamins, while taking in less calories than you burn in your 1 hour walk.

If that means you are consuming fewer calories than you burn, then yes, you will lose weight.

Not necessarily. You should see a dietisian and find out. It could be just a slow metabolism, thyroid problems or just too much consumption. It doesnt necessarily matter too much about the walking, although it is good for ya.

yes you will...but take it a little slower...set a short term goal such as not drinking pop for 3 weeks...and then once successful add another goal...the result will be slower but the overall success should be greater
