I feel that your country has been a victim of international corporate greed and that the military and corporations form the USA have wanted to invade and harm your country.
Iraq was a country in the 1970's and the 1980's before the first war against Iraq in 1991 was a very modern and developed country. the economy was first rate and The international banks were going to rate the economy as being not of the third world but a first world modenr and developed country.

Iraq was also a country that had a highly skilled and educated labor force. Also it was one of the few Middle eastern countries where women were free to get an education and hold down good jpobs such as doctors engineers architechts lawyers teachers professors etc. In many other countries women did not have that freedom.

Also the infrastructure was very modern and the hospitals were good and modern and people lived in a happy and healthy way. I used to have a pen-pal in Iraq in the 1980's and he was an Egyptian worker living and earning money in Iraq

I feel very sorry for the people of Iraq right now for all the suffering that they must endure due to the foreign soldiers invading your country and destroying the water supply and the roads and buildings etc.

Iraqi people in Iraq before the war were very modern and people who loved freedom and education and family.

That is my "feeling" about your country Iraq.
Hopefully after the war is over one day the people in Iraq will be able to rebuild their country and society to the proud and modern standard that existed before the wars of 1991 to 2007 Thank you for reading this.

Your wounded country certainly has my sympathy, for what it's worth. Unfortunately I believe that only a full out civil war will solve the situation and when the dust has settled you will probably have a dictator just a bad as Saddam Hussein. It would take a miracle for the religious [actually pollitical] divisions in Iraq to realize that they are all Iraqis under the skin and need co-operate to return the country to when it was one of the cradles of civilization. If the country could get full control of its oil riches it would have enough money to do anything it wanted.

Your country could be the model of a progressive nation in the middle east. The religious factions must put aside their petty differences and realize the leaders they follow are just power hungry thugs. Will they marytar themselves or do they run and hide? Why are Sunnis killing Shites and vice versa? Why can you not a have a great society and the freedom to believe in any religion you choose? Why did it take the brutality of a dictator to control these homicidal muslim nuts? Do the people of Irag as a whole want freedom or do they want one faction to dominate all the others? Do they want the killing to go on and on? Do they want to live in poverty? The answers lie with the Iragi people. They need to make a choice. The people of Irag need to make a stand and see that the real enemy of their future and the rest of the civilized world is radical Islam.

I honestly feel that the country could use some help. But first comes first, your country has to help itself. I've lived in Iraq for two years a year or two ago, and the only area that actually was modern and nice was Kuwait City.

You now have a better centralized goverment and are working on building a better military force which is good, but all in all, you have to help yourselfs and "want to make it" without others help to be able to succeed in this world.

Here are a few starters,

1.Better prepare the military,
2.Keep the goverment working properly,
3.Keep the Police intact.
4.Start using toilet paper and not your left hand.
5.Quit killing the American Forces trying to help you out.
