I think Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) got this right a long time ago.

It was not that Adam ate the apple for the apple's sake, but because it was forbidden. It would have been better for us -- oh infinitely better for us -- if the serpent had been forbidden.

He also said
If I were to construct a God I would furnish Him with some way and qualities and characteristics which the Present lacks. He would not stoop to ask for any man's compliments, praises, flatteries; and He would be far above exacting them. …He would value no love but the love born of kindnesses .In His Bible there would be no Unforgiveable Sin. He would recognize in Himself the Author and Inventor of Sin and Author and Inventor of the Vehicle and Appliances for its commission; and would place the whole responsibility where it would of right belong: upon Himself, the only Sinner.

Mark Twain has some great quotes about religion. He realized a scam for what it is.

Why do you teach God? Do you think you know more than God who created you?God is the most powerful God and the mightiest and you want to be the mightiest? How dare you. You have belief on the intelligence of Mark Twain but you do not believe on the intelligence of God who created you. Nonsense.

The evil spirit have tested the faith of Eve and Adam to God by enticing Eve to eat the forbidden fruit , that his temptation to Eve succeeded so the devil thought that he won without knowing that God was watching them at that time. So instead of putting out the breath on Eve and Adam He imposed punishment for their sin in not obeying his command to them and also have punished the devil to walk by his stomach for his whole life and the dust is his food.

I like God exactly the way He is, and thats a good thing, since you or Mark Twain or I have no say in it anyway;
Oh, and there was not any fruit involved in the sin of Adam and Eve. Zero fruit. Don't they teach anything in the churches anymore?

The higher exhortation is: "forbid(law) them not".
Reason: an end "worse" than a mafia drowning.
Pst: seek and find "millstone" in Mt 18 & Rev 18.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
