I have never had a break, I should not complain as everyone has a story to tell and I am sure that there are many people far worse off than I, but I feel so tired of batteling with debt all the time. Dispite getting in touch with CAB who have been great. it is a never ending story, the story of my life. The thing is I don't have one as every day is just another battle with how can I pay this or that, I never get in front always behind, it takes up so much energy, I have very little for anything else and I am just so tired of it, anyone else feel the same, it may help to know that I am not alone. Also anyone got any good luck stories of how there lives were turned around.

YES!! I had divorced and my credit actually got BETTER.(enough so to buy a home by myself) Then I was layed off of my job (that I had for 13 years) Then got really sick and had to have 3 operations ( with no insurance and NO sick time built up) The only jobs out there, I am making HALF as much as I was. Now certain members of my family just CAN"T BELIEVE I have "let this happen". The job market out there is horrible. Now, they think I just HAVE to be on drugs since I "won't" pay my bills. No one seems to understand, and i feel so crappy about my situation. But, according to others, I'm just "lazy and irresponsible. You're not alone, believe me.

I know just how you feel, I am barely able to keep up with my bills right now. I will also say that as little as a year ago I had bills adding up faster than I could pay them. I have finally managed to get to where I am able to pay them, but still have very little money left over. However I am feeling tons better because I don't have creditors breathing down my back anymore. My advice would be to write down every bill that you have for each month add them all up, and then if possible set aside enough out of your paychecks to make the full monthly payment. You will need to come up with a monthly budget that will work for you, and then stick to it. I have no problems coming up with a budget, but I find sticking to the budget to be the hardest part. For example I had a bad habit of buying soda at the gas station when I would get gas. I finally figured out how much I was spending on soda and it shocked me. By finding small items that you buy and eliminating them you will find that you can use that money to start digging your way out of debt. It may be a long hard process, but stick with it, and you will be able to become debt free which is a great feeling. Best of luck to you.

It is completely normal to feel weighed down by debt. It is a stressful thing and if you don't worry about it a little then you may not be being realistic. The best thing is to do more of what your doing, be aware of everything, sit it all out and do the maths. Break everything down to an amount per pay and pay that amount off each bill when you get paid. Most companies have a way for you to pay installments. I eventually got to the stage where I pay my bills each pay so when I get them they are already paid off. Much more manageable than being hit by large amounts at once.

I'm with you. We have had financial problems for the past 5 years. We went from my wife and I making 100,000 a year combined to living on disability so you can imagine how tough that change would be. We lost everything after we were injured and couldn't work, our home, all our credit, etc. Now we barely get by. Trust me, I think a lot of people out there are feeling just like you do. It is possible to get out of it though. Just keep plugging along and don;t give up. Take care.

never keep a credit card. Those things are killers for your money. Also, use lay away instead of charging, if you need to charge it you can't afford it. Charge only in dire emergencies.
Keep the bills up to date. That keeps you from having to pay out too much at once. :)

I have been in your situation and it does get better but you have to take steps to make it better.
Get a second job
Get some financial advice and take it
Go without to save money
Try some Feng Shui that helps
