Eric Cantona, no doubt they had a song about him!

The best player ever should have served the club with great form and inspiration over a long period of time. Whilst George Best will certainly be the most artistic, his service was rather short having retired rediculously early at 27.
By this definition, then Bobby Charlton will top the rest of the MU greats although I really love Cantona. This may not be the popular choice as Cantona and Keane has the advantage of more recent memory and also all their skills have been faithfully captured in videos. Not in Bobby's days.
Bobby's fans are also too old to reply to Yahoo answers.

George Best. Other great players were Bobby Charlton,Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.Followed by Beckham, Ronaldo and Peter Schmeichael. Dont like Scholes much the amount of times ive seen him misS for England from 3 yards out.The worst ever must be Alan Smith ,im better than him.

To me the best player is Ole Gunnar Solksjaer. He is really a super-sub. Without him will Manchester United win the UEFA Champions League in 1999??? So Ole is the best!!!!
GO Ole!!

RONALDO, no doubt, i mean if you've seen his form of late it's sizzling, sensible technical and efficient step overs, important passes that can be converted into goals and ofcourse theres no doubt, THE GOALS that come pouring in.
Especially after the PFA awards and him clinching 2 of them, who can deny his obvious talent?
