one of the cheapest would be Motel Formule One. I have never stayed there, but have heard they are pretty basic but clean and decent. costs $84 per night. they don't seem to have a website but check out www.flightcentrehotels.com.au

There is an Ibis near the domestic terminal. You get what you pay for.

there are some cheap ones try looking on the net under mascot which is where the airport is you wiil get a good variety there.
