Why do ignorant people call others Anti-Semetic when they don't even know what a "Semite" is?

"Semetic" is a family of languages like Arabic and Hebrew. Arabs, Arameans, Chaldeans, Sabeans, Babylonians, Phoenicians and Jews are all Semetic. There are 300 Million+ Arabs in the world, Arabs were the strongest and largest semetic people. There are about 12 million Jews in the world. Not all Jews are "Semetic", most Jews are Ashkenazi (European) the group of people the Europeans kicked out of Europe. The only real Semetic Jews are the Sephardic Jews which are much smaller in number than the Ashkenazi Jews. So in reality there are very few real Semetic Jews, if someone doesn't like Jews for any reason that doesn't mean they are an Anti-Semite, If someone hates all semetic people then yes, they are Anti-Semetic. Arabs outnumber Jews 30 times over and yet if someone doesn't like Arabs they aren't considered Anti-Semetic? The Arabs have many allies like Russia and controls the Middle East, the whole world depends on Arabs.

You might want to keep in mind that the term "Semitic" is derived from Shem (one of Noah's sons in the Bible), and the concept of "Semitic" people derived from the origins of ancient Hebrew cultures. But you are right, the term "Semite" shouldn't be applied only to Jews, as Semites include: Edomites, Ammonites, Phoenicians, Amorites, Moabites, Carthaginians, Ethiopians, Hebrews, and so on....
People equating "Semite" with "Jew" is one of many stereotypes that we are faced with. You're definitely correct in saying that not all Jews are Semites, considering the fact that a person can either be a religious Jew, an ethnic Jew, etc... I agree with you and thank you for speaking out about this. Another stereotype that we should correct.
