Please inform police that he is blackmailing you with threat of suicide to pressurise you to withdraw the civil suit. What he is planning is a criminal act and police will take care. !!
(No person who wants to die ever proclaims it !!)

Don't worry. He can't claim sue you for his death and you have not threatened him against the law, just you have filed a case.
But only thing if he has any insurance, then u can have the money back when he dies and you may loose some money to their family members.

U better 2 compromise with him for money.
Ask him pay in small instalments...
Otherwise u don`t withdraw the case.
Once u withdraw from the case, it`s very difficult 2 collect money.

There is only two ways.
Either money even in small installments.
Or leaving him by excuse.

Can't be that bad.

Let the case go through and let the judgment fall where it may. If it goes you're way, you still have the right to not collect.

If I understand you correctly, this man has told you he's going to die because you sued him--and sue you because he died?
That's about the silliest thing I've ever heard. You can't be serious.

in a court of law its not what you can say but what you can prove. If you can prove that you loaned him money with the agreement of payback then your in favor. If its just words then chances are your wasting time in the court.

just make your claim in court, if something happens to him it isnt your fault, and if you win, it comes out of his estate. He is just trying to scare you to stop

If the amount he has borrowed is small, withdraw the case. and earn his gratitude.
If the amount is not meagre , ignore his threats.
What is meagre, what is small is of course relative.
