you may consider this to be the case .I do not know what it is like to live in your area and you may have been subjected to racial slurs that we all accept are upsetting, that`s why people say such things. But yes racism is alive and well in the UK,but governments try to fudge over the facts to give the view that we are a harmonious multicultureral society.Although this is probably true that generally we do get on in the main stream of British society you will however always find the opposite, you wont have to look too hard. The UK has had an influx of migrants emigrating here in large numbers for many centuries, the Dutch in the 15th and 16th century, the French in the later part of the 18th century not to mention the Romans,Danes Saxons and Normans.Laterly of course it has been people from the British empire/commonwealth. and now from eastern europe. But if you were to look at other countries you will notice that on many occasions the idigenous people don`t tend to welcome the foriegners.weathe they bring benefits or not.I lived in Spain for some time and found the Spanish a warm and welcoming people, they did however dislike the Morrocans and south americans,so wherever you live you will find racism even within you own culture. But please please don`t think we are all racist, intolerant maybe, even uneducated or unwilling to adapt but we are not all closset klan members.however consider these............... Sir Oswald Mosely british fascist simpathiser 1930s,Enoch Powell, combat 18,The National Front,British National Party,Ku KLux Klan and yes they do have a membership in the UK thier headquaters are in Glasgow !!
Pretending that racisme does not exsist in the UK or that you may find it abhorant does not mean the issue has gone away, once we accept that it does exsist then it may be able to redress it,pretending or deluding ourselves just allows the racists time to entrench thier views and build strength.

I don't think you can ever say a whole race is racist because it's a ridiculously huge generalisation. I think there are some people in every race on earth who hold racist views. So yes, British racists do exist, but that doesn't mean the rest of us agree with them!

what defines someone as a racist ?

If i attack someone verbally or physically because of there skin colour then i will admit i am a racist.

If i resent my country being invaded by people who give nothing and expect everything. All may i add at further expense to the working white man/woman. Does this make me a racist, or just someone who is a bit pissed with carrying the pond life of the world ?

What a silly question. To generalise like that and say that 'the british' are racist would be racist in itself. Some people in Britain are racist. Most hopefully aren't.

I don't think a whole nation can be called racist. I also don't believe that everything which is labelled racist is truly racist. For example, I think it's only right to want to be allowed to keep our traditions and way of life and to expect those who come to live here to adapt to our ways. That isn't racism.

define british...as a UK resident I have come to the thinking that with regards to racism the majority race...the whites are on the whole less racist than the minority groups. This could be due to the minority feeling they have to put up a defensive barrier or perhaps that 1% of white brits equal the total number of non white brits thereby having a one to one balance which followingly induces higher percentage of racism amongst the minority groups....with regards to racism, it's just a way of defining yourself from another as slim people may mock or think bad of non-slim people etc the real enemy is prejudice and skin tone is simply a differential feature that dominates other differences. perhaps a better question to ask would be to ask whther or not british a more prejudiced than other...

Difficult to generalise - some are, some aren't. But I do think that broadly speaking, the British - and in particular the English, tend to think of themselves as a superior nation to others and this can make them appear racist.

they are not permitting mass rape, they are attempting to place a end to it. ask your self this question do you recognize what is going on around the corner to you? NO. you do no longer understand. except human beings come forward and say what's occurring to them. for that reason the victims could have reported what replaced into occurring to them. And think of that they do no longer choose this to happen to the different individual. In some international locations women individuals are dealt with as 2d classification electorate it is actual, even with the undeniable fact that it extremely isn't any longer purely in some in Islam. it incredibly is in lots of countries international. And in maximum circumstances no longer something to do with faith. we live in an exceedingly ill international.

If martin luther king were alive today he would be sickened how minority groups have abused used the 'rascist' term.

Just because you dont always get want you want it does not mean it is due to rascism.

I can point to more rascist events by minorities than vice-versa such as MOBO awards etc... so grow up you sad people and stop living in the past.
