There is no such thing as perfection. Everyone is trying to reach it, but it is impossible because everyone in the world has a different view of perfection. It would be boring anyway, it's a good thing that no one's perfect.

An unattainable goal.
I spent most of my life running after it & making myself miserable. I wanted to be the smartest, most talented, most beautiful, etc etc. It was only because I didn't feel loved or appreciated (even in my own family) so I knocked myself out trying to be perfect (academically I excelled, always on the honour roll, straight A's, awards & medals) just to get some attention & it still didn't seem to work & I still never felt good enough. I would run a race & win & feel happy for a second & then crash again. I might as well have come in last.
It's taken me many years to discover the secret: to love myself just as I am. To accept myself. To realize that each of us has worth not because of what we can do or what we have but because of who we are. I'm a good person. I deserve to be loved & I love myself. Now I don't have to be the best (though I admit it's still nice!) I don't beat myself up if I'm not. I wish someone had told me this back in school. I could have cut myself some slack & not been so neurotic. Then again I probably wouldn't have graduated university at the top of my class.
You can reach for perfection but don't let it consume you. Be proud of your successes but don't beat yourself up for mistakes, weaknesses & shortcomings. No one is & no one has ever been perfect. There is always someone better & someone worse. We are all unique & must love ourselves for who we are & not compare ourselves to others. It's not a contest. It's not a race.

Perfection is not flawlessness; it's when something or someone is as it should be. Perfection is a rainbow with all it's colors, a child playing happily in the snow , or a man questioning his existence.

It is to reach at the level of classicism, after exploring ones belief, and passing through a transitional stage of experimentation.
The perfection gives birth to a belief once again.

call me..
seriously... that with no flaws.
But much like beauty it is in the eye of the beholder. It depends on who is looking at it. I might make a wonderful dinner, and thinkit was perfection. However Wolfgang Puck might think otherwise.

Perfection is getting to a point at which you have been striving for and no longer desire to advance.
