Should I tell my friend what pseudo means?

I called my friend pseudo nice. He doesn't know what pseudo means, so as a retaliation he said "well, you're pseudo retarded" . He meant it as an insult, obviously.

Now he doesn't know why I'm laughing. Should I tell him, or not?

You should, but get him something faux fur as a peace offering. Tell him that the faux is an animal that sheds its skin naturally, so wearing its fur isn't cruel :P
