We will be visiting Boston (Massachusetts) soon and would like to look for a nice hotel in downtown. Our budget is about US$130 per night. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you very much.

There's quite a few hotels downtown that are nice.

My suggestion would be to use Priceline.com to get the range you're looking for. I've had fabulous luck using them to get rooms in Boston over the past few years. Start w/ 3 star at a low price ($70 to $80) and work up. Though you could visit expedia.com and orbitz.com to get general "going" rates that you know you'll want to undercut.

What's nice is you can try a few times. Then use a different email and do it again.

Doubletree and Swiss Hotel are just two of my recent stays there at GREAT prices.

Have a great time!

I would trip expedia or another travel site to see what hotels downtown are suggesting, then use priceline or something to suggest $130. I've stayed at the Park Plaza for $120 a night in June, so it's possible to stay someplace nice for cheap. If you aren't locked into staying downtown, there are a number of hotels like Days Inn or Holiday in areas like Brighton and Somerville, only a few minutes away.

A nice hotel in downtown will probably cost double that. For that money your best bet would be to search or call the bigger chains, like Marriott, Hilton, etc, and see if they have those rates at something outside of the city. Also, Quincy, just south of Boston may have some nicer smaller hotels at that rate, and you're only 20 minutes to downtown by bus or train.

That is somewhat of a stretch of budget for downtown Boston. Maybe try staying in Cambridge, because sometimes hotels there will be a little cheaper, but you can still easily get in to the city. Check websites for good deals on hotels, and you may luck out if you keep your eyes peeled, on places like priceline.com, etc.
