80s music started punk. The Ramones. Sex Pistols..............

And Rancid.

I would say the best I know in our generation are Blink 182, Offspring and Green Day

I don't 'think' any band is punk. I either KNOW they are punk or I KNOW they are rock or whatever they are. Duh! I think you're up waaaaaaaay past your bedtime! lol!
