There were 8 candidates including me, they all took max 10 minutes, mine took about 5 minutes... What does it tell you?
Positive or negative...

I'm not keeping my hopes up, if I get the job I will praise the Lord, if I don't get the job, I will still praise the Lord.

Sounds like this was a preliminary inerview to see who DOES NOT get the job.

Were you the first interviewed or the last. Maybe if you were the last the man was just tired of interviewing people.

Anyway,. be sure to write the guy a thank you letter for having you come in to be interviewed, and if you hear nothing byt he end of the week, call and follow up.

The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

i've got heard that interviewers make up their minds interior the 1st minute or so of assembly somebody. If the interview lasted 5 minutes i don't think of it went o.k.. What place have been you making use of for and how did you dress?? :)

It would mean one of several things:

1-The employer has already decided on who to pick, but doesn't want to turn others down. You came in late.
2-The employer interviewed you and quickly concluded you weren't right for the job.
3-The employer thinks you've got the right credentials, and doesn't have to beat around the bush too long. You can expect a phone call soon.
4-The employer has gotten bored of talking to 8 people, and didn't wanna hear each of their life stories. He's a snob.

My guess is if they only did it for 5 min, then that is not good. I also don't like waiting games. When I got hired, I had an interview and got hired the same day (an hour just after I had my interview).

Maybe you did a really good job and right away they knew you were a keeper... or they knew they didn't like you and didn't want to waste their time. BUT I was like you a while ago and had a guy ask me like 3 questions and that was it.. the next week I got hired. So keep your head up!

If the max was 10 minutes I think you're good - it doesn't mean anything either way. All you can do is stop speculating and relax....Good Luck!

It means one of two things.
The interviewer was so impressed with you he KNEW you were the one after spending time with the others, or he KNEW you weren't anywhere as good as the rest!

Maybe they didn't have any time, or maybe one of the seven before you did a REALLY good job

YOU WERE WHAT THEY WERE LOOKING FOR , HOPEFULLY; OR IT COULD BE - I HOPE NOT, FOR YOUR SAKE - JUST A FORMALITY AS THEY ALREADY HAVE SOMEONE. WHATEVER THE REASON AT LEAST YOU GOT SOME PRACTICE IN INTERVIEWS. GOOD LUCK.
