Shotguns are GENERALLY used for hunting, and a clip is not needed. Most shotguns hold 5 shells, yet most states allow hunters to only have 3 shells loaded in the gun. Many states even require that a "plug" be inserted into the gun to prevent any more than 3 shells being loaded. I have heard stories of Vietnam era soldiers having their personally acquired shotguns modified by Vietnamese gunsmiths to take a drum magazine similar to what tommyguns had. I don't know if they were made fully automatic, or it was done just to add capacity and quicken reloading.

I saw on TV about this automatic shotgun thing. It had round/wheel magazine with bunch of shogun shells loaded in it. I don't think they'll allow that for general public for obvious reasons.

they make shotguns with clip ever heard of a F.A.S. that stands for fully automatic shotgun and it has a belt clip. But I figure the ones with clips is out of our price range that's why we don't see them.

It's the way they're built.
Why do they have a range of about 20 feet when a puny little 9mm will shoot over a hundred?
Why do shotguns hit a burglar 25 times with one shot when a 9mm can hit only one at a time?
Different guns for different conservatives. Different damage for different liberals. Depends on what you're hunting.

A shotgun shell is a lot bigger than a bullet.

A clip is actually different than a magazine. I know people seem to interchange "clip" and "magazine" but they are different.

For clarification -
Shells is the ammunition containing powder, casing, and projectile.
Clips is the ammunition holder that fits into the weapon.
