Nope. Calcium has nothing to do with gout. Uric acid is the culprit. Eat cherries it really helps. And avoid the foods that set it off like organ meats, red wine etc. Check this out: http://www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/gout/gout.htm

actually there are several things that can cause gout cacium is not listed as being one of them
