You gain knowledge through experience. A knowledgable person is someone who knows things that books might not be able to explain to you, simply because he lived it and learned from his experiences

Knowledge comes from many factors:
1) From books
2) Internet
3) Own experiences..
4) Peers etc..
5) Upbringing
6) education etc...

By mixing around with someone who has great general knowledge, do liots of reading..

From reading, listening, and observing everything that goes on around you. Never be so dumb as to think that you can't learn something new. Even old people learn new things every day. (or so they tell me) Cheers to being knowledgeable!!!

Learn all you can your whole life, starting now. Read. Listen. With age comes wisdom. Learn as much as you can, if you can afford to go to college. Just fill your brain with everything you can.

experience is a great teacher and then so are colleges and books. And other people. I always say you do not need to learn from your own mistakes learn from other peoples mistakes

read,ask questions LISTEN TO THE ANSWERS,and never think you have all the answers there is always another way to look at things
one other thing pomposity is not necessary to be knowledgeable
