1) Primary Structure--amino acid sequence
example: Val-Gly-Ser-Leu (covalently joined)

2) Seconday Structure-alpha helix
it is the bending and hydrogen bonding of a polypeptide bakcbone to form alpha helixes and pleated sheets

3) Tertiary Structure
it is the overall shape of a polypeptide, interactions between side chains

4) Quartenary Structure
association between two or more polypeptides that make up a protein.
