My brother is 100% hetrosexual and I am 100% Homosexual. We are Identical twins and I was just wondering if there are any other twins out there who have this situation.

First, to the person who thinks this is a choice, you have no idea what you're talking about. Secondly, I saw a question similar to this a while back, and from the answers I saw, you are not the only one. Yes there are those that state that because of this phenomenon, that Gay is a choice. BS. Once the egg splits, you are officially 2 different people. What happens after that is called development. (That was for the people who STILL think it is a choice.) You develop into 2 seperate beings, with personalities and thoughts of your own. Including orientation. Why is it that one twin (even identitical) develop into almost a complete opposite of the other? No one is claiming that Homosexuality is in DNA, but it is more than probable that it is during the stages of development that this occurs, just as in any aspect of someones personality. For those that think that babies do not have personalities while in the womb, speak with a multiple birth mother. She can tell you each child, not as in A,B, or c, but as in "The fiesty one that likes to try to do somersaults" or "the very quiet calm sleepy one" or "the one that likes to kick anything and everything in sight in order to try to break out". I have heard these terms used in multiple births, and it is obvious that much of personality comes from the developmental stage. I personally believe that sexual orientation is part of that as well. It is not something you can change, and in the cases of identical twins, it is becoming obvious that it is not DNA either. It is perfectly normal, and should not be viewed as anything but. I apologize for answering this and not being a twin myself. I just think it is about time people understand that it is not a choice. Who would choose to be heckled by ignorant bigots? Or denied basic human rights? Why would someone want that? This is who "God" made us (Whomever that may be) and this is in HIS image. (Makes ya wonder doesn't it?) I can only hope that others who are intrigued by this question as well, will research and find the answers to these questions and come to realize these are not choices. This is who we are. Great question hun!

There was a special on 60 minutes not too long ago about exactly that. They interviewed two boys who were about 8 or 9 and one was into GI Joes and had his room set out in typical "boy" style. The other was very effeminate, painted his nails, wore girls clothes, liked Barbies and stuff (I realise that doesn't make him gay!!) and said that he was a girl inside a boys body. It was as simple as that to him. Really interesting.

I am sure there will be, it's a big world out there. But I do know of two brothers (not twins) and they are both gay :-)

you're not an anomoly. a situation such as yours proves that homosexuality, although not genetic, is NOT a choice.

This just proves you were not born gay. You made the decision.
