I totally AGREE, she was a full figured woman who knew what image to progect. I am sick of these anorexic girls all over, they couldn't do the classic marilyn monroe pose in the white dress, cause the wind would blow them over.

She was sexy but she died young so you don't have the waning years of her career to consider. Fay Wray was a hottie in the thirties. Now days you can inhance your features with plastic surgery so everyone tends to look the same.

Any way Marilyn was very beautiful...I like the actresses of today though (not the rake thin ones though) they seem to be fit toned and healthy although Marilyn represents more truth and reality in her body type and looks....she was said to be a (in Australian size measurement) 14 which actually is the average size.

Marilyn Monroe was a very special actress and personality, and was also very sexy. There are a few contemporary actresses who look as good or better, but "MM" was a one-of-a-kind special edition.
Other not-completely-forgotten beauties include Greta Garbo, Clara Bow and Claudette Colbert.
They were also probably better actresses as they weren't as able to fall back on editing as today's actresses are.

TOTALLY AGREE. Most actresses now are so fake with everything altered. And as they get older, you can bounce a quarter off their faces with all of the plastic surgery. It's gross.

Agree - she was very feminine, delicate and self-confident. She knew how to be a woman without showing too much and selling herself. Great person.

i agree, susan sarandon is also looking great, of todays actresses only gina torres is classically beautiful.
