I started a new job and I am still in the 90 day grace period and well its not working out for me. I am ready to quit, how do I go about it in the most professional way?

The job isn't what I expected from the job interview, I am underpaid for most of it and not quailified for some of it. They were supposed to train me, but have failed to do so and now I am pregnant and X-mas I broke my ankle (plus had surgery on it) and it is the size of a softball from being on it all day and the ortho Dr said he wont do anything until I complete therapy on my ankle 3-5 times a week for at least 8 weeks!!!!

How do I be honest but professional about it?

BTW my husband makes enough money for me not to work, i went back because I was bored after being a stay at home mom, but now I miss it. I miss my son and now theres a second one on the way!

I would write a resignation letter--on your own time of course, not on company time, and hand deliver the letter to your boss. Here's a good website about info on it-- http://jobsearch.about.com/od/resignationletters/qt/resign.htm

I believe you should be blunt and not be around the bush. Just go to work a little earlier and talk to your manager and just let them know it isn't what you expected and tell them that it isn't really healthy 4 u right now to work on your feet. Put in a notice and you're done, it''s not like you have grown accustomed to working there. What ever you do good luck!!!!!!

Well congratulations on your baby on the way (knock wood :) Perhaps you can merely give two weeks notice and mention how your ankle is still giving you difficulty and that you would like to spend more time with your son.

I think I'd find another job 1st then give my 2 weeks notice.
