first off dont go to best buy you will pay way too much for what you need .. you can find it online cheaper , but may have to wait while it ships or shop around, places like office max , or office depot have sales on stuff that would make that computer rock ..

1 upgrade your'e ram .. get it over 1 gig
2 get a decent video card , from the looks of the post your using the onboard video , and that will slow things down alot , i have a decent video card from both ati, and nividia the top manufactures of great cards. the thing is your goin to have to do a little research , or screw turning to find out what kind of vid card you can put in it . contact dell , and ask them what upgraded video card slot type you have in there , and go shopping... fire me an email if you need help with figuring things out , and i can poke around to find some information for you as well ...

You've got integrated graphics and it sucks in games.

To really enjoy gaming:
1. Increase RAM to at least 1GB. 2x512Mb (identical specs) in dual channel mode would be faster than 1x1Gb in single channel mode. Since RAM is cheap nowadays, better go for 2x1Gb.

2. Get a Nvidia 7600GT or a 7600GS. These cards are fast enough for most games at normal resolutions and would not stress your power supply.

3. If you want the faster cards, you can go for the ATI X1900 XTX or the Nvidia 7900GTX. You may have to buy a new power supply to be able to power up these things.

Newegg.com is the ONLY place to buy computer parts. And you need to give us an exact budget. Plus we don't know your motherboard and power supply. Help me help you!
