1968 becomes redesigned with a shorter 112 inch wheelbase a new forced air induction gives the 400 cubic in V8 360 bhp. 1970 this is a milestone year for the 4-4-2.It gets new styling and the big 455 becomes standard.The w-30 package increased horsepower from 360 to 370.In 1972 the 455 engine became a option and the 350 was standard.In 1972 the 4-4-2 W-30 had a top speed of 129mph, 0-60mpr in 7.1sec. At 300hp the olds 4-4-2 was clocked and confirmed in the S/S quarter mile in 14.3sec

that depends on the drive train. ill tell you, i own the '68 with an ho 400/ m21transmission and an open 373 rear end. i pushed it little bit in high school, in first gear i was doing about 80 mph.
they 69 has it advantages but, a decreased power output from the information that i have seen. the '70 was a lower output still. but the '68 and 69 were virtually identical bodies aside from a few accents.
