You ask some great questions, by the way. I'm actually passionate about being happy. I know this sounds kinda lame and vague, but I just recently woke up, so to speak and realized that I'm in control of my life and destiny. It's up to me, not other people and/or outside forces to be truly happy. I'm in the process of re-inventing myself. I'll let you know when I get there, if you're interested?
