You hit the nail on the head perfectly!! I wonder how people can watch American Idol and not see what's going on. It's a perfect example of how the music industry works nowadays; someone tells you what to wear, sing and say.
In the earlier days, artists were more willing to have their own image and loved what they did. It wasn't about the record label. Believe it or not, they also played their own instruments and wrote the lyrics and music.
Nowadays, it's all about what the production companies think will sell more than artistic expression. It's just sad people buy into it. Don't get me wrong, there are great bands out there that still "stick it to" the companies, which is what makes them great. :)

you're in success! Pandora is lots extra beneficial than an cyber web Radio. you only tell it what variety of music you like and it will discover comparable songs from virtually each term! It has universal each band i've got ever tried and it allows you to seek by making use of music, artist, or variety. better of all this is freed from charge!

yeah! that is why i hate most songs that play on the "hit" radio stations. and certian genres (like metal) get shut out because they aren't as "pretty". you have to fit into the box to be popular. grrrrrr! i HATE it! oh well, i LOVE the music i listen to, and i try to support my fav. bands every chance i get just so people would give them a listen. : )

Yeah, I agree. Today your expected to follow a certain genre. I don't live by those rules. I'll listen to anything that's good.
