Yea, so if I forgive my friend for stealing $50 from me and he is truely sorry, then everything is cool and our friendship is restored right? Well, if Jesus is able to forgive our sins (everything from Adam & Eve up till now) why is it that we are still here? Shouldn't we be back with God. What are we waiting for??? If I go to church and have my sins forgivin and am sorry, shouldn't everything be dropped and I go to heaven? Okay, Im sorry, now what?!?!?!?

We are waiting for Jesus to come back to earth. Jesus went into the Heaven which you can read about in the Bible. We will be with God when Jesus comes back to the earth. God does forgive our sins and Jesus died on the cross for our sins.

We can only have our sins forgiven if we are truly sorry for offending God.Christ died to take the place of all sinners past present and future. He does not automatically forgive our sins unless we want them forgiven. We cannot go to heaven until Christ returns to Earth to judge us.Even if we committed the slightest of sins we have to be purged clean to enter God's Kingdom.

Jesus opened the gates of Heaven so that we could be with Him one day, but we are still meant to make the most of this life. This life is not all hardship. There is a great deal of joy as well. Make the most of it. 80 or so years really isn't that long in the span of eternity. Heaven can wait, as they say...it will come soon enough.

Friend,

Being forgiven for your sins is just the beginning. For the remainder of your earthly life, you are to tell others of what Jesus Christ has done for you, and to live as an example for them.

You're forgiven; tell others how they can be forgiven too. You're a member of the Body of Christ. Go and help others to become a part of the Body, and help those who are also in the Body.

One day we will be with God; in the meantime, let's make the most of our time down here.

May God bless you.

Not exactly. This life is a training session for the lives to come. When your training is complete(over the course of the next few lives) then we'll move foward to the Armageddon. But that'll be a while.

If Jesus died for the sins of Man, then wouldn't it mean that whatever sins we committed before and up until death, have already been forgiven on the day of Jesus' death? As he said, "Father, forgive them for they do not know?"

It would lead me to believe that all of My sins have been forgiven when Jesus died. After all, I always hear People saying, "Jesus died for YOUR sins." hmmmm....

..first of all adam and eve were given life before they ate the apple giving us original sin, meaning life was given to us and we were meant to live it, even before we had to ask for forgiveness. We weren't put on earth to ask for forgiveness and then go to heaven. DUH thats y the unanswerable question is why do we exist genius. PErsonally i think we exist to entertain god because hes GOTTA be bored with nothing todo being the only great powerful being right? so he watches us like we're a television. We do dumb things and laugh (comedy) we fall in love (chick flick) we all have accidents (tragedy) and we have wars (war/action). Hes bored and we're his entertainment.

Because God didn't just forgive us, He also gave us another chance to prove to Him that we're really worthy to be called His children. He also wanted us to fulfill our purpose first and to enjoy life before taking us.

Maybe the answer's in here.. (from Doctor Phils Website)

--------
... Dr. Phil says that forgiveness is what you do for yourself, not for other people. When you forgive, it doesn't mean that you approve of what's happened. Rather, it means that you're giving yourself permission to move on with your life.
-------

I guess he gave himself permission to move on with his afterlife. ;)

God gave us life, not in exchange for salvation. Then he gave us Christ, which allows for salvation during one's life. We still have to live the lives we've been given.
