Great dinner then great partying afterwards at Farenheit. Wonderful Asian fusion food. Best in San Jose by far. Great late night activities. Check out their website.

Paragon is a cool place - especially for your 21st! Also the Agenda Lounge which has a bar, restaurant and lounge with nightly specials on the weekend that you can book or RSVP for on-line. Definitely a way to get that party started for your 21! One final thought if you don't go down town is Santana Row- BlowFish Sushi, Straits, O-Bar at the Hotel Valencia, Rosie McCann's, 2-Mexican Restaurants, Left Bank - just to name a few places and lots of people to see and be seen...

Goto the House of Gingi on 1st street. Since it is your birthday not only will you get a birthday song but your meal will be free.
It is a benny hana's style Japanese rest were they make your meal at your table and put on a show. Great food ranging from steaks to Calamari with soup, rice (fried or steamed), salad and a sherbert or green tea ice bream desert. They also have a great bar and you should try the Asahi or Sapporo bear from Japan.

I would recommend going to Spencer's for dinner. It's a nice classy restaurant inside of the Doubletree hotel. They serve a little of everything their form steaks to seafood. Its a bit pricy but very well worth it especially for your birthday. As for the bar, I would say mission ale house on 3rd and Santa Clara. Women free before 11pm and $2 drinks if its a tuesday. Try an 'incredible hulk'- its hennesy and hypnotic or 'sex on the beach' if you want something sweeter.

If you like beer then Gordon Biersh is the perfect place to eat dinner (they have wine and mixed drinks too). I have heard of a bar called BJ's that has a cheap beer sampler. I have also been to Mission Ale house which was pretty good.

Go to a Chinese restaurant called, uh I forgot, or a Vietnamese called Thanh Duoc. But if you like a bar, go to Brokaw Street, they have a cool bar there. It locates near Mr. Chau's restaurant.
