y = x+3.
For drawing any graph the procedure is :
put any 3 values for x and obtain 3 distinct values for y.
Plot the points in the graph
{hope u know how this is done;
the horizontal is X axis and vertical the Y axis. for eg. for plotting x=2 y=3 u have to take 3 units in the vertical line and 2 in the horizontal, draw perpendiculars and the point where they meet is the point (2,3) }
Here, first put
x=0 ; y = 0 +3 =3.
put x=1; y=1+3 = 4.
put x=2; y=2+3 =5.
Plot the points (x,y)
= (0,3) , (1,4) , (2,5).
Join them (ofcourse they will be collinear).
The straight line is the graph that has all the points satisfying the equation.

Use any whole number for x. Add 3. plot your coordinates on the graph. For example, x=1, therefore y=4: plot your point at (1,4). x=0, 0+3=3, therefore the x-intercept is (0,3). Just keep doing this until you can see a shape and connect the dots...
Hint: this ia a straight line.

Why did you waste 20 points? Patience is a virtue.
y = x + 3
Find three values of x and y
If x = 0, y = 3
If x = 1, y = 4
If x = 2, y = 5
Locate the points (0, 3) (1,4) and (2,5) on the x-y plane.
Join the points and extend the line on both sides. Your graph is made.

okay that equation is in the slope intercept form wherein:
y = mx + b
mx is the slope. and b is the y intercept.
1/1 x is the slope and 3 is the y intercept.
since 3 is the y intercept it is tantamount to the ordered pair (0,3).
first locate (0,3) on the cartesian plane.
since 1/1 is the slope, move ONE step upward and ONE step to the right.
the ordered pair is (1,4)
connect (0,3) to (1,4) and just extend the line and place two arrowheads on both ends.

just pick any number for X and solve for Y. so if X = 2, Y should equal 5. then just plot the point using that. (2,5)
