Okay..from june 06 to dec. 06 I went to Valdosta state as a freshman. My grades were fine but I absolutely HATED the town, school, and everything about Valdosta , so I came back to Atlanta and went to Ga Perimeter College for spring 07 with hopes of tranferring in to Ga state the next year...well I also started working when i came back to atl..and w/ working 30 hours a week I couldnt really find the time to focus on my classes so my grades now are HORRIBLE. I was wondering..If i went to another community college to get my grades up and transferred to ga state only using the grades from Valdosta and the 2nd community college w/out even mentioning Ga Perimeter..would i be caught?? or would it be easy to do?

I had bad grades when I was young then decided to return to college at 47. I had a 1.5 GPA when I returned. I went to a community college where I brought up the grades and then transferred back to the university where I had made the bad grades in the past. I had to bring the grades up again. I did just fine.

One semester isn't going to kill your grades. If you should want to retake some of the classes again this will either give you another grade or they will average your two grades together. Classes will have to be taken at the college you were attending if you want to bring up your grades.

Students oftentimes go through a period where the grades suffer. Just stick it out where you are and bring up your grades. It does not look good to attend allot of different colleges either. This is a hurdle that you can overcome.

Good luck to you!!!

Yeah, don't do it. Not just because you'd likely be caught but because you might actually get away with it... for awhile. Imagine... you get away with it then spend the rest of your life wondering a) if and when are they going to figure it out; and, b) do you really deserve to be where you are. And if you are found out later, say, two weeks before graduation, and expelled... what would you do then? All that effort wasted.

Admissions officials appreciate integrity above everything else in an applicant. Be honest and upfront about your less-than-stellar grades. Explain without excusing. They'll more than likely take the fact that you're working into consideration. Most of all, tell them you know what the problem is and have a plan to prevent it from happening again. They'll (and you'll) respect you for that.

There's no reason to do this. If you did well at your first school, screwed up once and then did well again, you'll be fine. Universities and admissions advisors understand that sometimes people take on too much or that there are often more important things than academics going on in a person's life. Honestly, if you do really well in your future courses and have done really well in the past, the other grades aren't going to make that much of a difference.

I do wonder why you want to transfer yet again?

Hey! Sorry to tell you but no matter what, you have to submit your academic transcript of all the schools you attended. Trust me, the school registra will find out if you dont tell the complete truth, which could jepordize your chances of going to GA. Just look at the University's requirements for the transfer program if they have one. you usually just have to have a 2.0 GPA to get accepted, but it depends on the school. Good Luck and no matter what tell the truth!

NO!
It might take a while, but they will catch up with you, and cost you plenty. Don't worry, you can overcome the negatives in your transcript. I did and got into a very good university.

Should be easy to do. Nobody is checking all the schools you didn't list to see of you have a record there.
