Initially, circumcision was a religious covenant with God for Jewish males.
Then it became more of a cleanliness/health issue.
Now some people are going back to non-circumcision as being the natural way.
Usually a circumcised penis will not have as much sensitivity to the corona or head of the penis because the lack of a foreskin allows the head to become more or less permanently dry . Teaching a young uncircumcised male to be particularly clean under the foreskin is very important to avoid infection.

When a baby boy is born, he has a layer of foreskin that grows down over the head of the penis. As part of the Jewish religion, this foreskin is trimmed away so the head of the penis is exposed. It is consider to be easier to keep the penis clean and is part of a Jewish ritual when the baby is 8 days old. Many other people in the world practice the same custom, not necessarily for religious reasons but for cleanliness and prevention of diseases.

A man that is not circumsized has a flap of skin that covers the head of the penis. Men who are curcumsized at birth have that flap permanently removed. Men who are not circumsized run a higher risk of catching STD's and getting urinary tract infections.

A circumcised penis has the foreskin removed surgically at birth., this procedure allows for good hygiene. This may be a religious ceremony of the Jewish faith. Some parents prefer to have their babies circumcised for their own personal reasons. An uncircumcised penis has the foreskin intact.

Circumcised penis has the extra skin trimmed off and the non-circumcised penis looks "like it has a turtleneck on" so says my daughter who just had her son circumcised. Besides it being more attractive to most women it is cleaner and gets less infections because of the wrinkles.

The non circumcised men need to be more aware that in the excess of skin a kind of bacteria may grow and create a condition known as smegma, which can create irritation and bad odor.
