What are the advantages and disadvantages of internal & external recruiting. Under what circumstances is each more appropriate?

Hi are you in HR in school? well here's my opinion.
External: You get a fresh face.
Companies save money cause their "new" employees, and may take lower salaries.
A new employee may bring good experience from another company.
Cons: Hiring, training can be costly. Companies are risking this new hire, what type of person is he/she? Will they learn, adapt? Will they get along with co-workers?

Internal Pros: You know the employee already. Most likely little training is going to be needed. Internal employees if they refer someone else, usually it's a good standing person as well.
Cons: The employee may resent their new job. They may also ask for more money, which is usually the case.

Internal recruiting is necessary, because people have to feel they have a chance to move up in the company. The flip side is, sometimes , somebody's buddy gets promoted rather than the most qualified.

Eternal recruiting is a good way to bring fresh ideas into a company, but sometimes bringing in someone from the outside who doesn't have a "feel' for the kind of business he is bought into can be the recipe for disaster.

There are times when a position is open in the co, but there is no one currently employed who is qualified for that job, then hiring from the outside is the only answer.
If there are qualified people in the co who can do the job, then going outside is highly inappropriate.

depand on how large is your company, Are you the big boss?? Hum??

depand on what post you are recruit.

depand on how much you wanna to pay.

internal guy know all your company background but they have no new improve

but external guy have more update knowledge that you never know, Ooops, yes, u need to paid more to buy it.

so , if you need new change, new improvement , new concept, new ideas, looking for external is a must

if you just have a low paid budget, and it is just a simple job,
try internal, thats save your training time.
