LIBERAL DEMOCRATS: Have They Ever Been In a Fight?

If you're a Liberal, and have ever been involved in a fight, did you win or lose, and how do you know if you won or lost?

The reactionaries of the right have managed to redefine the word 'liberal' into an all purpose pejoritive. It's a propaganda term..ad hominum...red herring and strawman all rolled into one. Currently the entire country is in a 'fight'. The reactionaries that have hijacked the current GOP want to return to a time that never was....everyone else wants to deal with today's problems as they exist. If the reactionaries 'win', they will hollow out the concept of constitutional government. Maybe nobody excepts those who remember when the USA really was the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave will care, but something really precious will be lost, and lost for ever!

To my everlasting shame, i have been in several fights in my youth. Some were won, some lost. When the other guy cant lift his arms, or someone jumps on you to stop you from killing a person is usually when you know you have won. If you are the guy on the ground, or you go limp, you have lost. I suppose this question is to get at the heart of something else. To make your point that you have to beat someone into submission in order to claim that you have won. This is a very immature motion. You really should take a long hard look at your allegiances. it sounds like you are a little confused, or foaming at the mouth, or both. Of all the fights that I have been in, looking back on them as an adult, I can tell you with certainty that every single one of them was born out of a misunderstanding, or the flexing of power. neither reasons are good for fighting. Conflict is only solved by the absense of it. No peace can come from war. The peace you see after war is more a moment of fear. I would say now that I lost as soon as a punch was thrown. Nothing ever needs to come to blows, unless your liberty, or family is put in imminent danger.

There were a lot of Liberals in a little fight that took place in the 1770s called the American Revolution. The conservatives of the time wanted to remain English colonies. If I recall correctly, the liberals won that fight, and won YOU the right to ask your pointless questions.

I have been involved in many fights. I fought another guy over a girl. I won the fight. She went with someone else.

Moral of the story: I won, but I lost. Sometimes it is better to use YOUR BRAIN than to use out and out violence, unless you have no choice. Our country was told Afghanistan, Al-Queda, and Osama bin Laden were the culprits of 9/11. There was a need for violence. No one in Iraq was involved in the World Trade Center attacks, so there was NO NEED to go to Iraq.
